This natural park features a small reef ideal for snorkeling and diving. You can find subaquatic life in the park’s waterways, such as corals, reef fish, and even manatees. Besides crocodiles soaking under the sun, visitors may also catch a glimpse of butterflies and birds flitting around. As long as you’re comfortable in shallow water, you may take in as much of the reef as you like when snorkeling. The park is open year-round.
Crandon Park
One of the greatest spots in Miami to watch nurse sharks is Crandon Park on Key Biscayne. The sharks swim among the reefs’ shallow waters. With only 6-8 feet of depth and a lack of current, the water here is perfect for both experienced swimmers and small children. The Emerald Reef is one of Miami’s largest natural reefs. East of Key Biscayne, it’s a mile away. If you’re interested in seeing a wide variety of marine life, this shallow patch reef is a great place to go snorkeling. You’ll observe a variety of intriguing creatures among the enormous rocks, including lobsters. The reef is home to a diverse array of hard corals, gorgonians, and sponges, as well as grunts and barracuda.
